Kasynga vs Grok Bot and MausBot
14 October 2026
Grok Bot and MausBot let you build a team of AI assistants. Kasynga is the team lead's co-pilot, in early access. It runs your team's processes in one place, like check-ins, 1:1s, onboarding and reviews. Agents handle the busywork, you track the results and keep improving. This post covers what those tools do well, where they are ahead of Kasynga, what Kasynga does instead, and what is coming next.
What Grok Bot and MausBot do well
Grok Bot, from xAI, gives you a team of always-on AI agents. Each has a name, a role and its own computer, and they pass work to one another and talk in group chats. It is general by design. If a person can do it at a computer, a bot can be set up to try.
MausBot, also called OpenMausBot, is an open-source app that runs the same idea on your own machine. Each bot has its own model, memory and connected apps, runs on AI tools you already pay for, and keeps its conversations and keys on your computer.
Both are powerful, and both are improving quickly.
Where they are ahead of Kasynga today
- Range. They can be set up for almost any task, from research and writing to sales outreach and fixing code. Kasynga does one job.
- Freedom. You decide exactly what each bot does, which model it uses and what it connects to. Kasynga makes many of those choices for you.
- Agents in plain words. In both, you describe a bot and it starts work. In Kasynga that is still being built.
- Running on your own machine. MausBot keeps everything local and open source. Kasynga is a hosted service.
What Kasynga does instead
A general assistant can run a repeat process, once someone sets it up and keeps it running. That setup is real work, and it does not stop. Kasynga is built for the opposite case, a team lead who wants the process run well without becoming a bot engineer.
Think of a spreadsheet next to a tool built for one job. You could run your sales in a spreadsheet, and teams still pay for the tool made for it. Kasynga is that tool for leading a team, the team lead's co-pilot.
- Set up by answering a few questions. Tell Kasynga about your team, pick what you want to run and rank how you measure good work. It builds the workspace, the check-ins and a dashboard, ready to shape.
- Agents for the busywork. Agents start on a schedule or when something changes. They ask people for what they owe, remind them and file the answers, in Kasynga, by email or on Slack.
- Results you can track. Weighted scores, formulas and dashboards show what changed, so you can adjust the process and go again.
- Its own email address. Each workspace has one. Replies come back to the right person's place, and mail from domains you have not approved is turned away.
- Open to your other tools. An API, webhooks and an MCP server let other software and AI assistants read and update your workspace.
Because Kasynga has an MCP server, the two can work together. An assistant that can use MCP can read and update a Kasynga workspace, so your bots can do their work on the process Kasynga keeps.
What Kasynga does not do yet
- There is no import from a spreadsheet or CSV, and no export.
- There are no comments or mentions yet.
- There is no mobile app yet.
- People have one of two roles, owner or member. Finer permissions are still to come.
What is coming next
These are planned and being built now. None of them is in Kasynga yet.
- Agents you describe in a sentence. Say what you want done, and Kasynga sets up the agent, with the access it needs for you to approve.
- Agents that answer by email. An agent that reads a reply, drafts its answer on the same thread and waits for your OK before it sends.
- More places to reach your team, beside Slack and email.

Which to choose
If you want AI assistants for many kinds of work and you are happy to set them up and look after them, Grok Bot or MausBot is the better fit.
If you lead a team and want its check-ins, 1:1s, onboarding and reviews to run themselves, with results you can track and improve, Kasynga is built for that. You can use both, with your bots working on the process Kasynga keeps.
